Believe it or not, out of all the personal growth strategies I practice & preach— a routine gratitude practice isn’t one of them.

But it’s never been easier to feel grateful than I do this year.

Yeah-no you read that right..

I fully recognize that people have lost loved ones, jobs, housing, & plenty of other examples in this mess and it’s never my intent to diminish the severity of that.

{BUT FOR ME}
This year changed me in every way I didn’t know I needed to be changed.

𝔸𝕟𝕕 𝕀’𝕞 𝕘𝕣𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕗𝕦𝕝 𝔸𝔽...
For my health.
For my husbands love, trust, and unending belief in me.
For his passion for climbing and feeling strong & healthy & adventurous.
For the health and safety of my immediate family and new niece.
For the couples who didn’t cancel their 2020 weddings.
For the couples who gave us deposits for their future weddings even in uncertain times.
For the massive & terrifying loss of income as gig workers to finally shake us awake and get to work on building something to off set the volatility of being full-time musicians.
For my mentor and coach @thecoachjimmy.
For my first mentee @smithova.
For the 30-something humans who said YES to a Challenge Group and believe in me as a coach & leader.
For my body that can always rise whatever occasion I get in my head.
For my worn-in-hand-me-down 90s recliner to read books, sip coffee, & write reflective posts like this in.
For answers & education that are always just a click away anytime I want and need them.
For the awokening I needed to face head on as a white women in America.
For my rock-star basil plants that have outlived any plants before them under my supervision.
For a great TMJ specialist to fix my jaw pain once and for all.
For the discovery of chocolate tea, 2B Mindset Nutrition, Morning Meltdown 100, Zoom, & #The100
And for TIME...Time to think, to work, to plot, to execute, to lead, to read, to personally develop, to travel, to rest, to laugh, to fall, to get back up, to fail, to learn, to celebrate, to live the life by design that I’ve so deeply wanted to live for far too long.

I don’t know about you but this year has felt like a constant all out sprint for survival🤯🏃🏻‍♀️😐. But this abrupt change in weather has gifted me with a serious sense of the slow-the-f**k-downs, and I👏🏼am👏🏼listening👏🏼!!

The calendar may not be getting any lighter for a while (tis the season after all) but my desire to hold space for the calm, cozy, & connective moments are quickly outweighing my tendencies to keep up with the hustle.✌🏼

Anyone else? ☺️
